About

I never like to limit myself with “about me” sections because they tend to force you to highlight certain parts of you that may not be what actually concern people. However, I guess my starting point is that I am interested in all things fashion; as I grew older, I became absorbed in magazines such as NYLON and Glamour, scouring the Internet for pictures of gorgeously dressed humans that could feed my obsession. Perhaps I’m a late-bloomer, especially because the school I’m attending literally only offers one course that could be remotely considered fashion (not that I don’t love costume design, but still).

I think I’d like to delve into consulting or marketing internationally for a company. For now, I’m content with sharing the knowledge I’ve gleaned over the past few years about color-matching and flattering your figure, and all manner of tips such as those. I’m also an avid writer and lover of music, and I’m so full of passion and wanderlust sometimes that it scares me.

I’m not one to think too much about the future, but for now I am happy where I am. I love cities, they’re great for observing people and finding new adventures and inspiration. If I had to describe my style, I would say I have a very eclectic wardrobe, sometimes classic, sometimes Bohemian, but always original. I love retro styles, especially things from the ’20s, ’40s, ’60s, and ’80s. I think that every girl should own a perfect LBD (that’s little black dress for the less fashion-informed out there), and that every guy should have a perfectly-tailored suit (honestly, sometimes I think men look better with clothes on than off.)

My favorite colors are coral, teal, purple, and black, which all show heavily in my clothing choices. Ballet flats fit with me much better than heels (not that I can’t respect a good pair, they’re just so hard to find…), and I love boots for every type of weather. I tend to prefer dresses and skirts to pants, and I will be the first one to call you out on wearing yoga pants or sweatpants in public. You can call me crazy, but I just pay attention to detail and believe in always presenting your best self.

I guess that’s good for now. Stay enchanted everyone.
